This effectively shut down the lawsuits while many of the workers suffered and died resulting from the contamination they received at the site.
This was due to a lawsuit brought by people working on the base who claimed they were exposed to hazardous chemicals after the open burning of stealth technology related materials. Or at least that's how it was referred to when President Clinton signed a Determination that effectively barred the EPA and OSHA from investigating the test site in regards to hazardous working conditions and environmental impacts. This is the border of the "Air Force's Operating Facility Near Groom Lake, Nevada". Warning! Do not pass the signs or else these guys will drive down and arrest you at gunpoint!
